It should'nt have taken that long but it did. I had wanted to see Jane for some time now and with Naomi since Jane is her godmother, it seems like a good idea.
I did the recommended thing..I rang the
Rail Enquiries for assistance as recommended and booked my trip with them requesting assistance on thursday. I got the tickets on Friday (I found out that it is actually just as cheap or cheaper with a student railcard as with a disabled person's railcard). On Saturday we got to the station bright and early and the man said that he thinks its better for us to go to London via Rugby than Leamington Spa as I had arranged over the phone. (nb to unaware reader that there are railworks which means that there are no trains at coventry for a couple of months). I am not sure if this is not a mistake I should have said we shall stick to the original..but I didn't..
So we were in Euston Station reasonably early and got to Waterloo without mishap on the bus. It was then I realised my mistake-I should have booked assistance all the way to Epsom because we ended up waiting in the queue for over 45 minutes to buy a ticket to go to Epsom. I had not reckoned on the tourists from Eurostar !

If only we knew not to stop at Waterloo on a warm August Saturday!
It was all worth it to see Jane, Nigel, Ruth and Emily . Naomi stayed on in London while I came home I was lucky enough to have Gian picking me up at Rugby and making me a smoked salmon and prawns dinner.
